HOMOSEXUALIDAD Y SUICIDIO

Habitualmente se atribuye a estrés social o a la estigmatización de los jóvenes no heterosexuales el aumento de sus tasas de suicidio. 

Un artículo de JAMA Pediatrics recién publicado analiza el fenómeno, y observa que dicho riesgo aumentado varía con el tipo de conducta sexual; esto, junto con la persistencia de riesgo aumentado en poblaciones no estigmatizadoras, hace razonable considerar que existen otros factores causales aparte de la estigmatización.
