ESTERILIZACIONES MORTALES EN INDIA

La esterilización femenina ocasiona 8 muertes en mujeres indias y 50 tienen que ser hospitalizadas en el estado indio de Bilaspur, como consecuencia de cirugía esterilizadora.

Las mujeres hospitalizadas sufrían vómitos y dolores agudos de abdomen (The Times of India. 11-XI-2014). Con independencia de los aspectos éticos negativos de la esterilización, habría que considerar también los problemas médicos que pueden asociarse a ella, incluso la muerte. Continúa siendo un escándalo mundial las esterilizaciones masivas en India.
