MANIPULACIÓN GENÉTICA AL HOMBRE

La reciente introducción de la técnica CRISPR/Cas9 para la edición y alteración selectiva de genes ha supuesto un gran avance en las técnicas de laboratorio relacionadas con la genética, y ha reavivado la discusión sobre la oportunidad de aplicar la manipulación genética al hombre. Observatorio de Bioética ha publicado hace poco un artículo en la red titulado Genome editing. Medical and ethical lively debate, en que explica el actual debate ético, y el alcance real de la nueva técnica, que no es la panacea.
