ACCESO A PALIATIVOS

Se estima que unos 27 millones de personas cada año necesitan cuidados paliativos en el mundo. Actualmente solo el 30 por ciento de los países tienen cuidados paliativos integrados en sus sistemas de salud. Otro 30 por ciento tienen cuidados paliativos muy elementales y el 40 por ciento restante no tienen nada. “Tan solo el 20 por ciento de los pacientes con dolores importantes del mundo tienen acceso a los opioides”.
